Pink Lady® apples hosted their 15th annual Crafts for Cancer event on Saturday, 12th of October 2024 at Simondium Country Lodge. Every year this event is held to raise funds for the Tygerberg Hospital Transport Fund.

At this event, 100 ladies participated resulting in R65 000 being raised for the Tygerberg Hospital Transport Fund. This means that almost 80 additional individuals will benefit from the Fund.

The Transport Fund was started at Tygerberg Hospital in 2010. The need for this fund was identified and initiated by a dedicated social worker at the Breast Clinic, Professor Apffelstaedt and what started as a small-scale initiative to assist one patient in need , has since grown to a fully-fledged fund that has helped countless individuals and continues to grow.

This year marks our 16th time hosting this beloved event, and we're thrilled to celebrate with something extra special! This year’s craft is a lipstick workshop led by the wonderful team from Liplab, where you’ll have the chance to craft your very own custom lipstick shade. Everything you need will be provided, from a nourishing natural base and vibrant cosmetic colours to all the tools required to bring your perfect lipstick to life.

We will also have inspiring stories to share during the workshop.
